I have been part of Brunel Short Breaks for nearly three years and have loved every minute of supporting children, young people, and families within the SEND community. Prior to joining the team, I served as both a Trustee and Chair of Governors for the Trust, giving me valuable insight into leadership, advocacy, and the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for all.Alongside my role at Brunel Short Breaks, I have proudly been Chair and Trustee of the Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group for over 20 years. Through this work, I have supported countless families, helped build strong community connections, and championed awareness and inclusion for people with Down’s syndrome and additional needs. As a parent of a young lady with SEND myself, I bring not only professional knowledge but also lived experience and understanding to everything I do. I am passionate about ensuring that children and young people are given the support, encouragement, and opportunities they deserve to thrive, grow in confidence, and enjoy enriching experiences. With many years of experience across education, governance, charity work, and family support, I feel privileged to play a part in helping families feel supported, understood, and valued within the SEND community.
